When items are sold on consignment, you, the seller is entitled to 80% of the total sale price! This is your best way to make lots of money. Your item will be posted on our website, when it sells, your money will be deposited into your paypal account. However, if you don’t have time to wait and would like to sell the items right away we will be happy to make you an offer on the spot, a payout. Once we receive your items we will review them and email you an offer. The offer will usually be between 30-40% of the item’s market value. If you accept our offer your money will be deposited into your PayPal account. If you reject the offer the clothing will be sent back to the seller at their expense using Canada Post.

HOW LONG IS YOUR CONSIGNMENT PERIOD?

Our consignment period is 120 days. A reminder will be sent by email notifying you that your consignment period has expired. Upon request clothing will be sent back to the seller, at their expense, at current postage fees. If you do not respond within 14 days, your items will become property of Closet Collabo. Closet Collabo reserves the right to repost the items and retain total profits or donate them to a local charity.

We will accept a request for return within three days of receipt of your purchase and evaluate it on a case-by-case basis, provided any of the following apply:

  • The item is damaged.
  • The item does not meet the description.
  • It is the wrong item.

WHY DO I SOMETIMES SEE DIFFERENT PRICES FOR THE SAME ITEM?

ARE ALL OF THE CLOTHING IN YOUR STORE PRE-OWNED?

Usually, garments we receive have been pre-loved, but in some cases we receive items unworn and with the original tags. When this is the case, the item title will say “New With Tags” (NWT).

WHY IS THERE A TIMER ON MY SHOPPING CART?

HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR GARMENTS?

We measure all of our garments laying flat. If you’d like to further information on how we measure our garments, take a look below! Pants  Waist : The circumference of the waistband, which typically falls below the natural waist. For this reason, the measured waist is typically larger than the stated waist (e.g. for jeans that are sized by waist). Rise : The length from the crotch to the waistband, measured on the front. Inseam : The length from the crotch to the ankle hem, measured on the inside of the leg. Top Measurements Bust : The circumference of the garment, measured at the armpit. Length : From the shoulder to the bottom hem, measured on the front side. For strapless tops, the measurement is from the top hem rather than the shoulder. Dress Measurements Bust, Waist & Hips : The circumference of the garment, measured at the armpit, at the natural waist (near the navel), and at the hips (4-6 inches below the waistband of your pants). Length : From the shoulder to the bottom hem, along the front. For strapless dresses, from the top hem rather than the shoulder. Skirt Measurements Waist : The circumference of the waistband, which typically falls below the natural waist. Hips : The circumference of the garment measured at the hips, 4-6 inches below the natural waist. Length : From the waistband to the bottom hem, measured on the front.

Is the item in the photo the actual item I’d be receiving?

Yes! What you see is what you get. We take professional pictures of the clothing and post them as is.

WHAT HAPPENS TO REJECTED CLOTHES THAT I DON’T WANT BACK?

Any items rejected that the sender does not want returned will be donated to a local charity.

HOW DO I KNOW YOUR ITEMS ARE AUTHENTIC?

We try to purchase high end items with some proof of authenticity; unfortunately with some vintage items that is not possible. Buying experts verify each item that is shipped to us. WE DO NOT ACCEPT COUNTERFIT ITEMS.

WHAT SHIPPING PROVIDER DO YOU USE?

All of our orders are shipped via Canada Post.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR SHIPPING?

Shipping costs are based on current Canada Post rates and will be kept as low as possible.

HOW QUICKLY DO YOU SHIP ONCE A PURCHASE IS MADE?

We always ship out orders within 3-5 business days of receiving them. Shipping is via Canada Post Priority Mail.

HOW MANY ACCOUNTS CAN I HAVE?

In an attempt to maintain quality and prevent any fraudulent behaviour we only allow one account per user, and you may not have more than one account with the same billing information. If a user is found to be abusing this policy, this may result in cancelled orders and/or account banning.

ARE YOUR PRICES NEGOTIABLE?

It makes us happy when you save money so we have already set our prices at a substantial discount to retail and therefore are not negotiable.  We do frequently offer promotions and coupons, so feel free to check our blog, your inbox and social media for current deals!

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

At this time, the only payment methods we’re able to accept are credit cards and PayPal.

CAN I PAY WITH PAYPAL?

Yes, we do accept PayPal! Simply head to the checkout page and select the “Pay with PayPal” checkbox above the billing information form.

CAN I RETURN MY ITEM?

Our reputation is important to us. All of the items we sell go through multiple inspections prior to being posted and again once they are being shipped. We have a certain standard regarding the condition level of the items we buy and are very honest about any defects in the description of the items. However, here at Closet Collabo, our aim is to keep the customer happy. We will accept a request for return within three days of receipt of your purchase and evaluate it on a case-by-case basis, provided any of the following apply:

  • The item is damaged.
  • The item does not meet the description.
  • It is the wrong item.
  • The item is counterfeit.
Please contact us at returns@closetcollabo.ca to request a return authorization for your purchase. Upon our receipt and inspection, provided we find your reason to be valid, we will issue you a refund for your full purchase price. Provided we find your reason not to be valid, you have the option to have the item shipped back to you at your expense or to relist the item.  Once the item is sold we will deposit the money into your paypal account. WHY DO I SOMETIMES SEE DIFFERENT PRICES FOR THE SAME ITEM?

Prices are set based on a wide number of variables such as size, quality, demand, and desirability.

ARE ALL OF THE CLOTHING IN YOUR STORE PRE-OWNED?

Usually, garments we receive have been pre-loved, but in some cases we receive items unworn and with the original tags. When this is the case, the item title will say “New With Tags” (NWT).

WHY IS THERE A TIMER ON MY SHOPPING CART?

All is fair in love and shopping. A timer is added to the shopping cart to ensure that items are available to all shoppers.

HOW DO YOU MEASURE YOUR GARMENTS?

We measure all of our garments laying flat. If you’d like to further information on how we measure our garments, take a look below! Pants  Waist : The circumference of the waistband, which typically falls below the natural waist. For this reason, the measured waist is typically larger than the stated waist (e.g. for jeans that are sized by waist). Rise : The length from the crotch to the waistband, measured on the front. Inseam : The length from the crotch to the ankle hem, measured on the inside of the leg. Top Measurements Bust : The circumference of the garment, measured at the armpit. Length : From the shoulder to the bottom hem, measured on the front side. For strapless tops, the measurement is from the top hem rather than the shoulder. Dress Measurements Bust, Waist & Hips : The circumference of the garment, measured at the armpit, at the natural waist (near the navel), and at the hips (4-6 inches below the waistband of your pants). Length : From the shoulder to the bottom hem, along the front. For strapless dresses, from the top hem rather than the shoulder. Skirt Measurements Waist : The circumference of the waistband, which typically falls below the natural waist. Hips : The circumference of the garment measured at the hips, 4-6 inches below the natural waist. Length : From the waistband to the bottom hem, measured on the front.

Is the item in the photo the actual item I’d be receiving?

Yes! What you see is what you get. We take professional pictures of the clothing and post them as is.

How long is your consignment period?

Our consignment period is 120 days. A reminder will be sent by email notifying you that your consignment period has expired. Upon request clothing will be sent back to the seller, at their expense, at current postage fees. If you do not respond within 14 days, your items will become property of Closet Collabo. Closet Collabo reserves the right to repost the items and retain total profits or donate them to a local charity.

CONSIGNMENT VS. PAYOUT?

When items are sold on consignment, you, the seller is entitled to 80% of the total sale price! This is your best way to make lots of money. Your item will be posted on our website, when it sells, your money will be deposited into your paypal account. However, if you don’t have time to wait and would like to sell the items right away we will be happy to make you an offer on the spot, a payout. Once we receive your items we will review them and email you an offer. The offer will usually be between 30-40% of the item’s retail value. If you accept our offer your money will be deposited into your PayPal account. If you reject the offer the clothing will be sent back to the seller at their expense using Canada Post.
